A form of music that developed from Trash Metal styles mid 80s. Possessed came with the song "Death Metal" in 1984 Bands such as Aggression, Death, Necrophagia, Nun Slaughter, and even the famous Slayer contributed to this new dark style of music.

What defines Death Metal is an exaggerated form of trash music, vocals  deformed into a mix of growling, screaming and raspy ripping guitars. Drums almost anti rhythmically harder and heavier sounding than ever.
